Tired Of Years Passing Without Getting What You Want? Do THIS
Full disclosure, I am on vacation recording this episode from a cabin up in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia. I am in a walk-in closet because if you are ever trying to record something, I will tell you that as a broadcaster, there is nothing as close to a sound studio as a walk-in closet full of clothes. You heard it here first.
It is the beginning of 2023. This is so exciting because there are these points that we have in our life that it can be so much easier to start something new and to work on something that really matters to us. It tends to be a new year, a new month, a new week, a new something. There’s a reason everyone says, “I’ll start that diet on Monday.” You can use this to your advantage. I am super excited to give you a series of things that you can do over the next two weeks that will supercharge your 2023 in the most amazing way.
It’s only going to take you ten minutes a day. I have some love in ten minutes. These shows have to be less than ten minutes. I want the exercises to be ten minutes or less. I just want things to be as easy for you as possible to get everything it is that you want. I’m asking you to spend ten minutes a day building your foundation for the year. Do it over the next two weeks. I think you might want to do it longer after that because of the results that you’ll feel and get. Committing to two weeks seems pretty easy and it’s something anyone can do if it’s only ten minutes.
The reason I’m asking you to do this is because mindset is the foundation of everything that you want. That’s how you turn big dreams, big goals, and aspirations into actual outcomes. Your mindset is 60% to 70% of the work. If you’ve ever been around someone who makes big things happen, their unshakable belief in themselves, which is so tied to their mindset. It is the biggest asset that they have. I want you to have that too. To spend 10 minutes a day building that foundation, I’m going to give you 3 different ways that you can do it. You can do whichever one resonates the most for you and sounds the most fun. You can vary them and do that ten minutes of work every day.
Mindset is the foundation of everything you want. That's how you turn big dreams, goals, and aspirations into actual outcomes. Share on XThe first one is you can do that morning routine. You can do morning or evening, but I love doing it in the morning because it sets the tone for the day. I outline it in the free gift on the show website, WinningMindsetMasteryPodcast.com. There is a free gift that you can go get on the website that will outline for you how to do that quick routine. It will be far less than ten minutes. You can probably do the whole thing at five, and then it has a bonus guided meditation that you can listen to at night if you want to. For that ten minutes, you only need those first things that are on that free gift.
Second, spend ten minutes a day journaling about all the things you appreciate and are grateful for in your life. Write it down and spend those ten minutes journaling because we are so powerful when we come at things from a place of gratitude. Doing that every day will make an incredible impact. Even if it’s just for two weeks, you will totally see a difference.
The third way, and this is if you’re more advanced or you already do all those things. You’re like, “April, I’m doing really well on my mindset game. I want to go next level.” I want you to take those same ten minutes reframing things that have happened to you over the day before, the week before, the month before, or however far back you have to go. The better your mindset, the fewer things you have to reframe consciously because you are unconsciously doing it all the time. Doing this writing would be pretty powerful. You can do it by speaking aloud to yourself or thinking it in your mind if you’re good at staying focused. Spend ten minutes a day reframing things so that you can see them as happening for you instead of to you.
If you have never done that before, what you need to do is think about those things that have happened to you in the past that didn’t seem like a great thing at the time. As time went on, you were so glad that you didn’t get that role, that you didn’t end up in that relationship, or that you didn’t go to that certain place. It’s because you can see with a little time, distance, and more information how things fell together for something even better than what you wanted. Sometimes we have great plans for ourselves, but what actually ends up happening to us and what we end up manifesting is even better. We wouldn’t have even thought to plan.
Practice those reframes. Those are three different things that you can do. You don’t have to do all of them. You can pick one of them. As I said, you can vary them as well, but commit to 2 weeks and commit to doing it for 10 minutes a day. I’m not asking you to do something that I won’t do, so I will do it right along with you.
Of course, as always, I would love to hear from you. You can go to that same website, WinningMindsetMasteryPodcast.com. All the way down at the bottom of the page is the Ask April section. You can go there and pose a question to me, which will actually come directly to my email and I will listen to it. It is private and I will answer you personally. I love to hear how it’s going for you. Maybe you have some questions about what you’re doing with your mindset or “How could I reframe a situation like that?” I’m happy to help you with it because it is all about you and, of course, getting the life that you want. Here’s to your success.
