These Three Words That Help You Take Action & Never Give Up
Three Words To Take Action
I am so glad you’re here. I found out about three words that not only help you take action but will prevent you from giving up. I found out about these from Justin Bariso. He wrote a book called EQ Applied, and he also writes for Inc. Also, he has some fantastic insights. If you want to follow him, absolutely do, because I get a lot of great mindset tips and tricks that he’s applied. He often tweaks it a little bit. He does it a little differently than I’ve ever heard, and I find it super insightful.
That is what I felt like about these three words. He talks about this three-word phrase and how he was trying to start back on an exercise routine after having had COVID and he couldn’t motivate himself. Mentally, he wanted to start, but you know how sometimes emotionally you’re just not ready, and then one day, he was. We’ve all experienced this. I know I have. I have the same thing also happen with entrepreneurs who want to work with me. They want to do one of my acceleration cohorts for their business, but they can’t take the plunge. Mentally, they want to, but emotionally, they’re not ready.
Wait For It
This three-word phrase will help whether it’s your health, your business, or your personal life. Wherever you’re looking to motivate yourself to change, use this phrase, “Wait for it.” That phrase probably sounds like, “That’s it?” It’s a simple phrase, but it’s also a framework because it helps you manage your emotions. Instead of simply waiting, which would be procrastination or delaying action, you’re telling yourself what you want. In this case, motivation and it’s going to come to you, and you don’t have to feel any pressure. You can allow it to come to you.
Wait for it. It's a simple phrase but a framework to help you manage your emotions. Share on XBy giving yourself that space to be emotionally ready, you’re often going to find that you’re ready even sooner and then you’ll take action. Once you start taking action, you’ll have both that mental and emotional capacity to see your goal through so you won’t quit. Also, when you tell yourself, “Wait for it,” it allows you to do three things as you wait. Number one, it lets you think about it, prepare for it, and visualize it. You’re going to see what it looks like, and you’ll even talk to others and seek advice.
Instead of should-ing all over yourself, “I should be doing this now, I should already be here,” you can plan for it, get excited about it, and visualize it. Ultimately, you can be more successful with it because you did that. The next time you feel like you’re pressuring yourself about all those things that you should be doing already, I want you to try and use this phrase, “Wait for it,” and wait for that motivation. Wait for that mental and emotional buy-in that says you’re ready to go and keep that motivation and go after the life that you want.
