Control This And Control Your Destiny
Unleash Your Inner Power
I am so glad you’re here. I have got such a great technique for you. I am thrilled about sharing this with you in a new and different way. If you can control this, I’m not kidding, you can control your entire life and your destiny. What do I want you to do? First, before I tell you, I want you to do a little exercise with me. Trust me for a second.
In your head, without doing it out loud, I want you to scream your name. Do it in your head so you can hear it. Go ahead. I’ll give you a second. Now, in your head, I want you to whisper your name, not out loud. You did it, right? You screamed your name, and you whispered your name. Guess what? That was your inner voice, and you controlled it. That voice that tells you things, that upsets you, that gets you worried, that gives you anxiety, you are in control of that voice. Now that we know that, we can control everything. I’m going to tell you exactly how.
That voice that upsets you, makes you worry, gives you anxiety—you are actually in control of that voice. Share on XInterrupting Negative Thought Cycles
These are the three most powerful ways you can utilize your ability to control your inner voice. Number one, interrupt those thoughts that don’t serve you. Stop the spiral. When you hear yourself talking about all the bad things that can happen and all the things that you’re worrying about, just yell, “Stop. Cancel. No,” and then reframe those thoughts.
The Power Of Reframing
I’ll remind you of the reframing process that we use on Winning Mindset Mastery. You’re going to check your oven. You can cook things at 350 degrees and reheat them at 180, but a lot of us go up to 500 when we’re in anxiety and we’re worrying about things. Check your oven, and don’t apply that much energy to the situation because you can come at it with less energy. You’ll be able to find more solutions and start to calm yourself down. Take those deep breaths and start to think, “If this weren’t my situation and I was giving advice to a friend or a child, what would I tell them?”
The more you reframe, the more your unconscious mind will automatically help you. Share on XIf you’re thinking along those lines, maybe some new information would help. What are some different ways this could be working out for you? I want you to think as if you were giving advice to your best friend or a kid that you adore, because that’s going to make you more objective and allow you to see more solutions instead of continuing to feel like this is an overwhelming thing that you can’t get around.
Here’s what’s wonderful. The more you reframe, the more your unconscious mind is going to help you with this and start to reframe situations automatically. When things happen, you’re going to start to say, “It could be this. It could be that.” In an earlier episode, a few months ago, I talked about bridges and how sometimes, the things that feel like absolute crap are taking you somewhere you want to go. Even though it doesn’t look like the thing that you want in the moment, it is the bridge that will get you there.
Reinforce, Imagine And Manifest Your Desires
The third way is you can let that inner voice reinforce, imagine, and manifest. Reinforce the good things about you. Reinforce the good things about your life, that you’re happy, that you enjoy this moment, that you enjoy this person, or this experience. Imagine the things that you want in your life. As you’re talking to yourself about the things that you want, imagine what it would feel like to have them. Guess what? Imagining that feeling is what pulls it forward and helps you manifest the things that you want in your life more often.
Use that inner voice to imagine what you want most in life, and feel what it would be like to have it. Share on XYou can do this with little things. If doing it with big things feels scary, do it with a parking space. Ask yourself, “What would it feel like if every time I pulled up where I was going, I had a parking space right where I needed it? That would be such a feeling of peace, calm, and excitement. What would it feel like if I went to the mailbox and I had something in there that surprised me and excited me, whether it was a letter from a friend or my favorite, I love getting random checks that I wasn’t expecting.
Imagine those things. Get that feeling. Ask yourself, “What would it be like if I were sitting in the sun right now, relaxing with my favorite beverage?” or “What if I were talking on the phone to my closest friend? What would that feel like?” Use that inner voice to imagine the things that you want most in your life and feel what it would feel like to have them. These are three super powerful ways that you can utilize them to make your life even better, because you’re in control. When you control that inner voice, I’m not kidding, you control your destiny. Here’s to your success.
